The central idea of this clock is the mysterious tourbillon. The handmade 8-days movement drives mysteriously the “flying” tourbillon thanks to a visible wheel.
The minutes are shown by a minute-hand whereas the hours appear on the top in a window on the ring in the upper part of the clock. All parts of the case are gilt. For the tree trunk, the ground and the branches more than 2 kg of silver (0.925) has been used. The case is set with nearly 100 engraved and enameled ivy leaves. Two cut and engraved kingfishers made of lapis lazuli with opal and onyx parts and 18 ct. gold feet are fixed on the two branches. For the base, lapis lazuli of the best quality has been used as well.
